雅思口语话题跟报纸相关

I read newspaper almost every day and sometimes I purchase or borrow magazines to read as well. I'd like to describe a magazine that I usually buy each month and enjoy reading a lot. The name of this magazine is PC World which is a global computer magazine published monthly by IDG in USA. It offers advice on various aspects of PCs and related items, the Internet, and other personal-technology products and services. In each publication, PC World reviews and tests hardware and software products from a variety of manufacturers, as well as other technology related devices such as still and video cameras, audio devices and televisions.

I have been reading this magazine for the last 6-7 years or so. It is specifically useful for people who love computers, other technology devices; software and IT related news and updates. I am doing my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering and love to learn about new hardware and software. This is a magazine that offers great hardware & software reviews, tips on advanced computing and many other useful articles.

Reading a newspaper or a magazine is always helpful for learning new information. Newspapers provide contemporary local news, international news, editorials, entertainment, news, sports news and so on. Without reading newspapers or magazines one can't keep himself / herself updated with the latest news and views of the world. I purchase the PC World magazine every month and read it for about 7 days. Sometimes I read older versions as well to find out any particular reviews or articles. This magazine is helpful for basic, moderate and advanced computer users and techno lovers. Someone who has a computer should read it to increase his/ her knowledge on hardware and software. Even it’s helpful for those who are going to buy computers, printers, cameras, scanners, software or other hardware devices. I enjoy reading it a lot.

雅思口语特别的东西话题

Describe a special thing you want to buy in the future.

You should say:

what it is

why you want to buy it

how long do you want to have it. 【how long if you wanted it?】

and how to get it.

I don’t think I’m alone when I say buying an apartment is at the top of my list. I've had my heart set on one by the sea, in a city like Qingdao, preferably with nice views and an outside space like a balcony or veranda. At the moment I’m single, so it might start off as a bit of a bachelor pad, but it’ll need to be big enough to raise a family eventually, so I reckon ninety-five square meters or so should do the trick.

I think I’ve wanted to buy my own place ever since I moved out of home to go to university and got a taste of the independent life. It’s also part of tradition that a man should have a house before he gets married, along with a car and a good job to provide for his wife. I want to buy a flat and settle down in a city that I can see myself spending the rest of my life in and I think Qingdao really fits the bill.

I don’t like relying on my parents for money and I’m dead set on saving up the necessary funds myself. Sadly, apartments by the sea cost an arm and a leg, so if I want to realize my dream I’ll be saving up for ages, but with hard work and determination. I’m sure I can reach my goal!

雅思口语学习的技能话题

You should say:

what it is

when you first became interested in it

how you will learn about it

and explain why you want to learn more about it.

One of my biggest passions in life is food. I would say I’m not generally a fussy eater and I’m willing to try pretty much anything. I like food from all over the world, whether it’s spicy curries from India or delicious pasta dishes from Italy.

Unfortunately, while I’m very good at eating food, I’m not so great at cooking it! I can cook basic food, but my culinary skills are certainly nothing to write home about. I used to watch my mum cook at home, but not a lot of her talent rubbed off on me. Nevertheless, it sparked my interest in cooking and food in general.

I guess I could learn how be a better cook by reading a recipe book or watching cookery programmes on TV, but to be honest I think I’d be better off going to lessons. Once I’ve picked up the basics I can always try using a book at home, but to start I think I should have a teacher telling me what to do.

One thing I love to be able to do is cook an Indian curry from scratch. The best curries are always cooked without using a jar of sauce, but it requires a lot of different spices and you need to know how to use them.

I think it would be great to be a better cook as cooking can be very therapeutic and relaxing. Besides, everyone loves a good cook and it’s helpful to impress members of the opposite sex!

雅思口语艺术活动话题

Describe an art activity.

You should say:

when it happened

what you did in this activity

who you did with

and explain how you felt after doing it.

I’m very fond of art; my apartment is full of statues and masks and my walls are covered in paintings and prints. Having said that, I don’t tend to make my own art. I don’t think I’m particularly creative and I’d say I’m more practically or scientifically minded. The only time I can really remember regularly taking part in any art activity was when I was at school, but there was one time on vacation when I dabbled in a bit of art.

It was two years ago when I was on holiday in Indonesia. I was on a tour of some local villages and we came across a woman doing pottery. She asked if anyone would like to have a go, but nobody wanted to be the first one to take her up on her offer. I decided to try my hand at it, so I sat down and got stuck in.

You start by putting a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel and dropping a little water on top. The wheel begins to turn and you use your hands to form the shape you want, maybe a short, fat bowl or a tall, thin vase. I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing, so the woman took my hands and basically did all the work herself. We made a short, stumpy bowl and then used my thumb to put dents in the rim, so it ended up looking like an ashtray.

Once it was finished my hands were covered in clay and I felt a bit embarrassed as lots of people were watching and I had needed a lot of help to make the ashtray. Still, I felt good for being the first person to try and it was only a bit of fun; no one took it very seriously.
