Talking about the most challenging as well as the most impressive experience in last two years, I would definitely say that it was keeping two parrots at home. My brother gave me two parrots 【they should be called Budgerigar】 as a surprise gift when my summer vacation began in last year. At first, I was overjoyed when hearing that I need to shoulder the whole responsibility to take care of them. In the following several days, I searched much information on the Internet to get to know its food list, living habits and behaviours, even the possible symptoms of getting ill. Then I bought them a nice and bigger cage as their “luxury flat” to offer them more space for activities. Preparing daily food and water, talking to them and observing them, I patiently did all what I could do to fully shoulder the responsibility as their owner.

As I said it was very challenging because I found it was so hard to keep two LITTLE things! I need to pay great attention, efforts and patience to complete the daily feeding and cleaning, which was more challenging than the daily tasks in online games. Moreover, my nice talking and observing couldn’t do any help to train them to listen to me, even be a little bit friendly to me! I thought the training to birds was so a piece of cake before keeping them. When I approached them more closer than usual, they would flapped their wings and flew around the whole cage, even pecked me badly. As for the most important point, they could be making noises all the time during the day. It was a period when I didn’t feel like hearing any bird songs, so-called “birds’ singing”. It was a great sense of helplessness when my passion met with my frustration in keeping them, especially when I found what could I do was only to deal with their dropping waste and the falling-out feathers. Finally I realized that keeping pets is a thing that “Love me much 【not little】, love me longer”. Taking the responsibility for your pet is much more challenging than saying that. You have to think carefully before having a plan to keep a pet. Last but not the least, you need to take care of it throughout its whole life to experience what responsibility is.

参考范文二:

would like to talk about the time I first moved to Changsha for college. It’s one of the major changes in my life till now I have to say.

Firstly, I was born in the north of China. We have drier winter, while Changsha, which is a southern city is probably the most humid city in the world. The constant rain is killing me. And the food in Changsha is too spicy and salty for me. I am not used to having too many spices and chili in the food. Also, I can’t really understand the local language.

Besides, college study is totally different from high school study, including in study methods and subjects. For example, you don’t have anyone to supervise you or motivate you on your own things. You can only rely on yourself.

Another significant change for me is the living environment. I used to live with my parents and have my own room, while in college, I have to live with 5 other girls in a small dormitory. We even don’t have a private bathroom. It’s utterly inconvenient when you have to share the bathroom with so many other people, like more than 70 people.

To conclude, I am still adapting myself to the new environment and the new life. Like people always say, we’ll have to embrace the change.

Describe a website that you like to visit.

You should say:

What the website is

What it is used for

When you used it

And explain why you think it was interesting.

Today, I am going to tell you about one website which I’m really interested in. It’s name is m.ebay.com.

It is an e-commerce website used for online shopping purposes. This website advertises various items classified by categories such as fashion, electronics, and motors. It allows people to order products, and make transactions online.

I always give priority to shopping online whenever I have spare time instead of going to stores or supermarkets. So, this website is very handy for me as I can take advantage of my mobile phone or computer with an Internet connection to access it and purchase what I need.

I find this website very appealing due to its good layout and attractive images of products. There is a box for me to enter what items I’m looking for so I can avoid browsing items unnecessarily, as I’m able to find quickly the things I need. After that the items I have bought will be delivered right to my door so I can save a lot of time. Not only that, there is always the chance to get a good deal and discounts as there are various promotion programs.

This website has important advantages for me, such as convenience and the benefits of saving time and money. Now it plays a useful role in my daily life. In the future I will continue to visit the site and of course recommend it to my friends.

雅思口语一首歌话题

Describe a song that reminds you of a particular time.

You should say:

what it is about

what particular time it reminds you

how often you listen to it

and explain why you think it is special to you.

I’m sure a lot of people have a song that reminds them of their first kiss or a childhood memory, but one song that always brings a smile to my face is Gangnam Style by the South Korean artist, Psy.

The song is all in Korean, so I’m not particularly sure what it is about. I know that Gangnam is a rich area of the Seoul, the capital of South Korea, a bit like Beverly Hills in California. The video for the song is very random, with tongue-in-cheek jokes about money and being wealthy.

When I hear the song, it takes me back to my time at university. I can remember when it first started to appear on the internet, on social media and video sites like YouKu. I would watch it with my roommates in my dorm and in class on my phone. Then it really took off and it seemed to be everywhere, in shops, on TV and especially in bars and nightclubs.

Back then I used to listen to Gangnam Style all the time, you couldn’t really escape it, but nowadays it isn’t played so often. It’s been overtaken by new catchy songs like Xiao Pingguo, which means ‘little apple’.

To be honest, these days I find the song a bit annoying. I think it was overplayed and people got tired of it. But I guess it still holds a special place in my mind as it reminds me of being young and at university, of staying up late with my friends and watching videos on the internet until the early hours.

雅思口语艺术活动话题

Describe an art activity.

You should say:

when it happened

what you did in this activity

who you did with

and explain how you felt after doing it.

I’m very fond of art; my apartment is full of statues and masks and my walls are covered in paintings and prints. Having said that, I don’t tend to make my own art. I don’t think I’m particularly creative and I’d say I’m more practically or scientifically minded. The only time I can really remember regularly taking part in any art activity was when I was at school, but there was one time on vacation when I dabbled in a bit of art.

It was two years ago when I was on holiday in Indonesia. I was on a tour of some local villages and we came across a woman doing pottery. She asked if anyone would like to have a go, but nobody wanted to be the first one to take her up on her offer. I decided to try my hand at it, so I sat down and got stuck in.

You start by putting a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel and dropping a little water on top. The wheel begins to turn and you use your hands to form the shape you want, maybe a short, fat bowl or a tall, thin vase. I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing, so the woman took my hands and basically did all the work herself. We made a short, stumpy bowl and then used my thumb to put dents in the rim, so it ended up looking like an ashtray.

Once it was finished my hands were covered in clay and I felt a bit embarrassed as lots of people were watching and I had needed a lot of help to make the ashtray. Still, I felt good for being the first person to try and it was only a bit of fun; no one took it very seriously.
