雅思口语话题库和范文篇一:A Celebrity You Admire

Describe a celebrity you admire.

Explain: who is this celebrity? What has he/she done to become popular? Why do you like him/her?

When this topic is regarded/As the topic is mentioned 【一般我都会用这两句开头,当然你也可以自己想一个开头方式】, I would say a celebrity whom I admire most is the former Chinese gymnast who is named Li Ning 【有时候最好的回答方式就是重复对方的问题】 . Before I start, I do want to remind you that he is the man who lighted up the primary torch in Beijing Olympic Game 2008.

Li Ning is no doubt one of the greatest athletes in China owing to his great contribution to gymnastics. As a gymnast, Li Ning demonstrated exceptional talents and perseverance/fortitude 【天赋与坚毅品质】that his contemporaries didn’t possess【替换have可以展现你的词汇量】. In Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games, he won 4 gold medals, which was the best performance in that game. The next year, he won another two in World Gymnastic games. Prior to Beijing Olympics, he still held a record of 14 champion titles in gymnastics. In his days, he barely can find a competitor. So this good-looking young man has often been called the prince of gymnastics.

Having retired from his beloved game 【这句话完全等于after he retired from his beloved game】, Li Ning still continued his passion in the field of sports by establishing a sport wear company which was named after him. The company soon became an unprecedented success. Presently, the brand Li Ning has become a main competitor that Nike and Addidas can not ignore in the global market.

Another reason I admire him is that Li Ning is not just a normal businessman who only cares about money, but also a man responsible for the future of the whole nation 【我常用这句话来形容商人-温总理说:企业家身上应当流着道德的血液。】. He often donates money to communities and the national educational program called hope plan. So everything he does can be used as positive demonstration for the youth.

雅思口语话题库和范文篇二:An Important Stage

One of the most important decisions I've ever made and want to talk about today is my decision to go to study in the UK/USA。 I made this decision just a few months ago when I was seeing my boyfriend off at the airport. He was leaving to study in the University of Oxford London/Harvard. At the airport, we cried, hugged and kissed each other for a long time. We remember the good old days we spent together, how wonderful and romantic it was. And now it was just so hard to see her leaving me. Then he spoke to me, “Your name, you know I love you. If I could choose, I would have chosen not to leave you, if god gives me a chance , I will be with you forever, every minute, every second, and I will love you forever even though we are apart” At that moment, I totally broke down and tears just kept flooding down my cheeks, I said to him in my sobbing voice, “his/her name, I love you too very much, I promise you that I won’t leave you alone. I will come to England too. Just remember my words. You won’t have to wait for long” It is at that very moment I made up my mind. I will go to England, to keep him company, for no other reasons, but just for him, because I love him. And there could be nothing more important than this; to do something for the man I truly love.

雅思口语话题库和范文篇三:Hand Writing

1. Do you often write things? What do you usually write?

That depends on the situation.

When I write memo to colleagues, it's work related.

When I write an email to a friend, it's about personal stuff.

When I write my diary, it's to clarify my mind.

I don't write books. I don't write poems. I don't write songs.

2. Do you prefer to write by hand or write using the computer? english tang .com

I prefer writing by hand. It's much more personal and it feels a lot nicer receiving a handwritten letter than it does getting an email.

I like writing on the computer because it's fun, faster than handwriting and you don't have to worry bout spelling as much!

I prefer computer, because it's faster and readable.

3. Do you think computers might one day replace handwriting?

Yes. Very likely! I can't remember when I last time wrote down more than a few words in handwriting. Probably back in university several years ago. I even use the computer for brainstorming.

Yes. I think computers will cause the art of handwriting, letter writing, etc. to become a thing of the past. People are too lazy to pick up a pen, these days, it seems like a lot of kiddies can type faster than they can write.

No. some people write fantastic emails, its not all one liners and text speak, so the skills are there, letters will stay around, they have more meaning now as they take more effort. Just as TV didn't kill radio, email won't kill letters. Problem is most letters are written on the computer and then printed out.

4. When do children begin to write in your country?

They are supposed to be able to read and write their ABC's by the time they hit the kindergarten or preschool. 【5 years old】

All kids are different, generally in the Scotland most kids start to learn writing at the age of about 3 or 4, if they go to nursery, at school its 4 or 5.

As soon as they can hold the crayon, this can be before schooling even begins!

5. Do you think handwriting is very important 【nowadays】?

NO. NO. NO! My handwriting is HORRIBLE, but it's not about ability, it's about care. Why is doctors' handwriting infamously atrocious? Because they have better things to worry about.

No. I do have some prejudices about people taking care of themselves but not about handwriting, this is innocent, I can't judge by the cover.

No it's not important. But I have had situations when I had to fill in forms such as bank applications for loans and even during an interview session. It felt weird and my hand cramps easily.

Well, all in all, it depends on what you do. If your work requires using PC, handwriting should not be that important.

Yes. I do believe handwriting does reflect personality to quite an extent because a person with a good mind cannot tolerate his handwriting to be untidy for sure, he or she will somehow manage to have a good handwriting. If it is not, I won't consider them as bad person, but would not have a good impression on them at once.

6. How can children today improve their handwriting?

Practice makes perfect, allow them time to write slowly and let them know how they could possibly improve and rewards for best handwriting....jus sum motivational techs should work.

You write some letters and have them critique you. Have fun practicing both of yours letters together. Maybe some fun practices might get them enjoying practicing. Each person is different, its best to at least try to get them to improve, the schools don't seem to care much anymore.

First, you trace a perfect model, and then you try to write it about 10 times. That's what we did in my penmanship class.

Let them be kids and have them develop their own handwriting patterns on their own. One day they can write legibly themselves.

雅思口语话题库和范文篇四:Music

Speaking of a piece of music I like, the one that came into my mind is Do-Re-Mi. I believe that anyone who loves English has watched the movie The Sound of Music. In the movie, as a tutor, Maria planned to teach seven children the basic musical notes. Sitting on a grassland, Maria began to teach them how to sing while playing the guitar. The lyrics go like this:

Doe — a deer, a female deer,

Ray — a drop of golden sun,

Me — a name I call myself,

Far — a long, long way to run,

Sew — a needle pulling thread,

La — a note to follow ‘sew’,

Tea — a drink with jam and bread.

And that will bring us back to [do]

oh—oh—oh!

It is very interesting. Because do and doe share the same pronunciation. The same as re and ray and others. In this song, seven notes are interpreted in a different way by Maria, thus it becomes very easy for children to remember. Actually, every simple thing can be meaningful as long as we put our minds in it.
