听力部分：

问题：The woman cannot pay her bill because she used air-conditioner in the summer too much. She didn’t expect that the fee will be so expensive. She needs to pay in three weeks.

解决方案1：She can work more hours during her part-time job at the café.

优点1：She can earn enough money to pay the bill if she works on Friday.

缺点1：Her friends will come to visit her and she doesn’t leave her friends alone.

解决方案2：She can ask their parents for help.

优点2：Her parents definitely can pay the bill and she doesn’t need to worry about the money anymore.

缺点2：Her parents just paid textbooks for her recently. She doesn’t want to ask too much from parents.

答案：The woman’s got a financial problem. She cannot pay her bill just because she used air-conditioner in the summer too much. There are two possible solutions. The first one is to work more hours during her part-time job at the cafe.

But this will leave her friends alone. Another solution is to ask their parents for help. But it will make parents think she just asks too much from them. As for me, I prefer to choose the first one, since she should be responsible for herself and it will help to develop her independence. Another reason is that her friends will understand her considering her kind of tough spot, so she should be totally in charge of her own life.【121 words】

托福综合口语Task5复述题深度解析

在托福口语四道综合话题里，Task 5是唯一一道允许发表自己观点的复述题。我们先来看OG中考官告诉我们这道题需要答什么:

Describe the problem. Then state which of the two solutions you would recommend and explain why.

很显然答题分两个部分，一是复述，二是阐述选择原因。那么考官对我们阐述的原因有什么要求呢?我们继续从OG中寻找答案:

The reasons you give for your preference can include information provided by the speakers in their discussion as well as your own experiences. For example, if your own experience with a similar or related problem is relevant to your choice of one solution over the other, you may draw on that experience when explaining your reasons.

考官告诉我们在阐述理由的时候即可以有听力原文的内容，也非常欢迎自己的想法。那么问题来了，面对这样一道要求颇复杂的题目，如何在短短20秒里准备好复述的内容，又想到自己的理由?

大多数少男少女恐惧托福口语的一个原因就是想不出理由。好不容易结束了Task 1、2两道头疼的自由发挥题，又来了一个需要给出自己理由的综合话题实在是累觉不爱。其实善良的ETS已经在听力对话的解决方案中为大家埋下了一个小思路，也就是利用你所选择方案的弊端，说服考官此弊端没什么大不了。

这个方法怎么用?我们来看一道例题：

TPO 34

Problem: wants to join a weekend trip to Canada with class but forgot to apply for passport

S1: 3-page paper – not hard; but will miss a lot of fun

S2: go to passport office and apply one – doable; but $150 is expensive

不能粗去玩还要写paper，S1简直惨无人性，应广大少男少女的要求，我们选S2作为解决方案。这个方案的弊端叫做 “太贵了”。这是一个经常出现在Task 5方案里的缺点项，因为北美大学生活还是比较费钱的嘛 【比如平时开开趴体，周末去趟坎昆等等类似与学习相关的事情】，因此这个选项的弊端还是非常好理解的。那么既然这是我们所推荐的解决方案，去说服考官此方案在听力里提到的弊端非常容易解决，也当然是很符合逻辑的。因此在这道题里，我们自己想出的理由就是: money is not a problem.

就像之前提到的，北美大学生校园生活是很丰富的，学校也会提供不少让学生勤工俭学的机会，front desk receptionist, waitressing at coffee shop, teaching assistant of the program, etc. 只要说出能赚钱来报销这$150，根据own experience找到的理由就顺理成章的出来了:

“Although applying last minute and pay $150 can seem a little expensive, I don't think it’s gonna be a problem for him because he could get a part-time job on campus to earn the money. l’m sure he’ll find something like front desk receptionist of the admission office, or teaching assistantin the lab, and that’ll solve the money problem.”

“Although the rush order delivery could spend twice as money, I don’t think that’s gonna be a problem for him,because he could easily earn the money back by doing some part-time job on campus, like front desk receptionist of the admission office, or teaching assistant in the lab, and that’ll solve the money problem.”

两个解决办法：

1、改时间，但会错过和同学们的电影活动;

2、和班上数学好的同学去讨论，但效果没有与老师讨论好。

难度分析及注意事项

此题是校园生活类话题中的常见题目——时间冲突，属于90分班课必讲的经典题目之一，只需轻松应对即可。

托福口语Task5高分技巧

第一，考生必须要有扎实的听力功底。

这个题目中只包含听力部分，这也就意味着，如果考生的听力水平比较低，是完全没有办法组织答案的。所以，考生一定要注意通过精听和泛听相结合的方式，提升自己的听力水平，并且在听听力的过程中，一定要多注意文章中出现的关键词，把握好笔记的走向。

第二，考生需要把握一下答题时间。

在这个题目中，考官重视的是考生自己陈述理由的能力，所以考生应该至少留20秒时间来陈述自己的观点，描述对话中的问题和解决方案的时间不应超过30秒。

第三，使用高分句型

考生应该适时增加一些亮眼的句型来吸引一下考官的耳朵。由于在总结听力内容时时间紧迫，考生可以在陈述自己的选择及原因时适当增加些句型，比如if引导的条件状语从句，例如：If I were the girl， I would do…或名词性从句：What I think the girl should do is…等等。
